A history that began
seventy years ago

We have always been involved in transport.
The first in the family was our grandfather Gino who, in the 1950s, was in charge of passenger transport for the Club Méditerranée in San Vincenzo.
Gino used to accompany holidaymakers as far as Florence (the photo is from that period!).

No less than three generations have been involved in passenger transport, culminating in 1989 with the birth of Stedop as it is today. A real necessity for an area that was beginning to discover its vocation for tourism in those years. The many years of experience of Stefano Pistolesi‘s father and grandfather, who has owned Stedop with his brother Donato since 1989, are the basis of his profound knowledge of the Chianti region and Tuscany.

Today Stedop’s fleet counts 15 vehicles with top brands such as Mercedes and Setra, leading manufacturers of increasingly technological and safe vehicles.
Forty years of experience define Stedop as a specialised operator in the Chianti region. Collaborations with the most renowned accommodation facilities and with the variegated realities of the Chianti area (from wineries in the wine and food sector to the most exclusive locations) are evidence of competence and deep bond with the territory in which Stedop operates.

Stefano Pistolesi describes the Stedop team as follows: 'First and foremost, people with great experience in the sector. This type of work requires dedication, organisation, availability and competence.

Knowing how to understand people and their needs... In addition to all these skills, the backoffice work of those who organise and manage the vehicles, schedules, shifts and travel is also important.

Our team consists only of experienced drivers and, above all, people accustomed to travelling and understanding the needs of each passenger. Behind each of our drivers, with great experience in travel of all distances, there is someone who organises the work “behind the scenes”.
The secretary meticulously organises every aspect of the journey as well as the transfers, ensuring comfort and punctuality.
